  • 3 c flour
  • 1 T sugar
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 T baking powder
  • 2 t dill
  • 1 c cheddar cheese
  • 12 oz beer

Dill and Cheddar Beer Bread Directions

Preheat oven to 375˚F and grease an 8-inch loaf pan. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, dill, and cheese. Form a well in the center of the mixture and pour the beer into the well. Fold until just combined. The batter will be lumpy. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake until golden brown and a toothpick stuck in the center comes out clean, about 45 minutes. Cool in the pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and allow to cool on the rack for 10 more minutes. This is delicious warm or at room temperature.
