Willy Street Co-op management has been working with United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America to discuss possible unionization of staff. It was our goal to enable staff to make an informed decision on whether or not they want union representation, which is a decision that is their right to discuss and make.
Over the last two days, eligible staff members voted and we have been informed of the results of the election: the majority of staff voting have chosen union representation. Co-op management supports the right of staff to make this decision and we will work with union representatives to move forward.
