The Willy Street Co-op Do-It-Yourself Homesteading Fair is a free event taking place at the Lakeview Library (next to Willy North) on Friday, June 7th 2-5pm. Specialists will be sharing simple demonstrations, information and expertise to help people make, grow, and find their own food/hobbies. This will be such a great way to get the community together to learn about specialized interests and to teach each other that it’s possible to make these interests a successful reality. Examples of educator specialties include:

  • growing seedlings
  • chicken-keeping
  • foraging
  • composting/worm-farming
  • fishing
  • food preserving/dehydrating
  • grass-fed beef farming
  • maple syrup tapping
  • hot sauce-making
  • bike repair
  • music/nature synergy
  • rabbits/gardening synergy
