Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum

Full disclosure: I love pretty much everything by Mad Hippie. That being said, I’m a huge fan of their Vitamin C Serum. I love it because it absorbs quickly into my skin without feeling filmy or sticky, and it’s helped brighten my skin while subtly lessening the effects of my irresponsible habit of forgetting to wear sunscreen on my face. Did I mention that this serum smells good too? It’s kind of pricey, but this Vitamin C serum definitely pays for itself in terms of all the benefits it has.

MyChelle Sun Shield Liquid Tint SPF 50

I absolutely love everything about this sunscreen. It’s mineral-based, but disappears completely into the skin to where it feels and looks like you don’t have anything on. The tint is very sheer and leaves a natural, your-skin-but-better finish. And a little goes a long way; it takes just two pumps to fully protect my face and neck. With this product, I actually look forward to putting on my sunscreen every morning!

Back to Nature Peanut Butter Granola Clusters

This granola is super delicious, and so, so peanut buttery! It’s one of my favorite breakfasts because it fills me up and gives me lots of energy to take on the day. East and West only.

Ta Dah Lemony Roasted Garlic Hummus Falafel Wrap

It’s always nice to have something in the freezer I can heat and eat quickly when I don’t feel like cooking. These falafel wraps are yummy and filling. If you like a bit of spice, try the harissa falafel wrap, too.

ShiKai Borage Therapy Hand Cream

A simple, fragrance-free lotion that works great. It’s been saving my hands this winter.

Nutrigold Triple Strength Omega-3 Fish Oil

I have a goal of taking high amounts of EPA daily, and it can be challenging to find a fish oil that has high EPA without taking a handful of capsules. Enter: Nutrigold. This supplement provides a whopping 750mg per softgel!! It is also non-GMO-verified, made in the USA, hexane-free processing, IFOS & MSC-Certified: Icing on the delicious fish cake.

Anna

Klarbrunn Pomelo Grapefruit Sparkling Water

It’s the source of life.

Abigail

Sacred Wood Essence Palo Santo

I like setting things on fire, but incense can be a little too much sometimes. Sweet yet smoky, this Sacred Wood Essence Palo Santo burns clean. Simply set it on fire and set it up right—it’ll burn just enough and save some for next time. Very nice for stress relief, headaches, and to help stay present.

Kevita Lemon Cayenne Probiotic Drink

A low-carb option among the probiotic drinks. Tastes good too. Available at East and North only.

Tony’s Chocolonely Milk Chocolate Caramel Sea Salt

This chocolate is by far my fave chocolate in the world. I’m not a chocolate snob, but the Milk Chocolate Caramel Sea Salt is pure delight. Also, the company’s number one mission is to end child labor and slavery in the chocolate industry through awareness, leading by example and inspiring other chocolate companies to follow their lead. So cool. Available at East and North only.

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay

This clay mask checks all the boxes for me: inexpensive, natural, flashy packaging, dries slowly and tightens my face into a shriveled prune so I am positive it is sucking the dirt out of my pores, and leaves my skin glowing.

Flora

“Koffee” flavored GT Kombucha

GT Kombucha made a new flavor of kombucha, which mixes kombucha with coffee and a hint of almond extract. The result is a tangy, slightly sweet, absolutely delectable pick-me-up. It’s got me hooked.

Zelda

Equal Exchange Mango Cheeks

I didn’t think I could love dried mangos more than I already do. Equal Exchange dried mango cheeks just proved me wrong. My ride-or-die road snack.

Emily

Kevita Apple Cider Vinegar Tonic

I frequently do juice and other liquid cleanses, and recently added this tonic to my regimen. Not only did it leave my gut feeling significantly more functional while on the cleanse, it resulted in noticeable complexion improvements. Highly recommended!

Lacey

Koyo Ramen

One of my favorite quick meals. Add spinach, kimchi, tamari, Sriracha, and an egg. Better than most restaurants’ fancy veggie ramen and way cheaper.

Amy

Earthgrown Organic Pico de Gallo Salsa

I just discovered this stuff! It’s going on my scrambled eggs and tacos. It’s got a really nice kick and is oh, so fresco. And honestly, to put this on a chip is kind of an insult. It’s just not worthy enough. Ka-POW! East only.

Leah

Honey Toasted Peanut Butter

DO YOU EVEN KNOW ABOUT HONEY TOASTED PEANUT BUTTER?!?!?! If not, YOU SHOULD. This is my new, absolute favorite thing in this store. I eat it everyday. Perfect on sandwiches, in your smoothie bowl, on apples, I can go on and on about what to do with it. JUST GET IT. You will not regret it, and will feel the need, like I do to eat it all the time. The best part? We have it in our peanut butter grinder so you can get as much as you want!!!! Available at North only.

Organic Dark Cocoa Dusted Almonds

HOLY BUCKETS THESES ARE AMAZING. These have been my new go to sweet treat where you get some antioxidants, some protein and some fiber coated in cocoa!!!!

Nancy’s Cultured Soy Yogurt

For me, the only non-dairy yogurt worth buying is one that’s both high in protein and has no added sugar. With 6 grams of protein and 0 grams of sugar per serving, Nancy’s Cultured Soy is the only one that meets those criteria (plus it’s super-low in calories). Because it’s unsweetened, it’s really nice with savory foods (try a spoonful on top of chili) and is a good substitute for regular yogurt in recipes. Best of all, I can let my kid finish off a bowlful knowing that it’s actually good for her. So happy we carry this product! East only.

Max

Greenhouse Slicer Tomato

Grown locally, these tomatoes bring the taste of August to us early! Their flavor is superb, and it is so nice to have a fresh, rich tasting, local tomato to pair with some fresh local lettuce in May and June, especially on a BLT.

Brandy

Harmony Valley Arugula

One of the first fresh, local greens available! Tastes like spring – good in a salads, sandwiches, and eggs. Great flavor – a tiny bit spicy, but usually very mild in the spring.

Sadie

Local Asparagus

Is there any bigger signal of Spring than local asparagus? When I buy it I feel like I’m celebrating the changing of the seasons. Like most spectacular local veggies, I like Asparagus simply prepared over the grill or pan cooked on the stovetop over med/high heat (to get the delicious blistering) with some oil or butter, salt, and pepper. I’ll also try to toss in some slivered almonds, lemon, or a quick aioli.

Andy

Wildcrafted Ramps

Oh, the wild leek, transitory gem of the soggy spring. I’ll eat these garlicky-oniony beauties with just about anything, though I can’t think of a better meal than eggs, morels, asparagus, ramps and a little diced bacon. Ramps are high in vitamins A and C, as well as in selenium and chromium. To stretch out their season, I like to lacto-ferment them, dry some leaves, or mix them into butter and freeze it–but their short-term availability remains one of the great joys of eating in season.

Wildcrafted Watercress

Peppery watercress thrives almost year-round in Wisconsin, but spring’s the high time for these spring-fed greens. One of the first crisp, refreshing plant foods of the season, watercress cleanses and rebuilds our bodies. It’s a nutritional powerhouse on all fronts! I especially like it on sandwiches, or in a salad with the first local spinach and feta (and ideally with other wild greens). One of my favorite foods of the season.

Sharon

Seafood Center Fresh Walleye

This is my go-to for the best fish fish tacos in the world. I can fry in olive oil with a dash of Cajun seasoning. The flesh is firm enough to stand up to the fillings, and don’t forget the Willy Street Guacamole.

Pineapple Lassi

The Juice Bar’s Mango Lassi is wonderful, but just ask for a substitution pineapple for the mango, and you will get a whole new experience. The natural tartness of the pineapple, lemon juice, and yogurt are balanced with luscious honey. Sunshine in a glass.

Jesse

Willy Street Co-op Summer Lemon Iced Tea

A nice, basic iced tea, but oh-so-refreshing when you need to grab a drink on the go. East and West only.

Carley

Willy Street Co-op Lavender Latte with Almond Milk

I LOVE this drink. The lavender syrup and the almond milk are both made in-house and they are simply amazing. I love the subtle floral notes from the lavender and the clean, nutty taste of the almond milk paired together. It makes for a really wonderful spring drink that I keep going back for. (Almond Breeze may be substituted if demand for house-made almond milk exceeds supply.) East and West only.
