Delta Beer Lab owners Speedy (Michelle Riehn) and Pio (Tim Piotrowski) opened Delta Beer Lab at 167 East Badger Rd. because they wanted to show that businesses could Do Good and Do Well at the same time. Delta created a taproom space that is welcoming to all. Their mission is to expand community through quality, local craft beer without barriers to gender, race, or sexual orientation. The business is a member of 1% for the Planet, contributing 1% of all revenues to local environmental organizations. Delta also engages with our community raising awareness for and supporting local Nonprofit Partners, rotating each month.
“We wanted to craft great beer served in a safe environment for all people, but also strive to support our community along the way,” said Piotrowski. Because Delta Beer Lab pays all of their employees a living wage, guests at the taproom are given the option to donate to a different local nonprofit each month in lieu of tipping. In less than 5 years, Delta Beer Lab has donated more than $200,000 through the Nonprofit Partner of the month program.
