- 1 lb strawberries
- 1 c red wine
- 1/4 c sugar
- 3/4 c heavy cream
- 1/2 c mascarpone
- 2 vanilla beans
- 3 T powdered sugar
Strawberries in Wine with Mascarpone Cream Directions
- Depending on their size, halve or quarter the strawberries and place in a large bowl. Pour the wine over the strawberries, then sprinkle with sugar. Fold to combine. Refrigerate, covered, for at least 4 hours.
- Combine the cream, mascarpone, vanilla seeds, and powdered sugar in a large bowl. Whisk until stiff peaks form, about 5 minutes. Spoon a generous amount of mascarpone cream into dessert bowls, then top with strawberries and the wine sauce that has accumulated. Enjoy!
